Result-Framework Document (RFD) for Nehru Yuva Kendra

Result Frame Work Document gives time lines for completion of different programs and their relative weightage in overall scheme of NYKS for a particular year. The purpose of the document is to provide guidance to the functionaries as to how to implement the targeted activities. The document includes an overall vision mission and objectives their translation into a set of measurable targets as well as implementable strategy to achieve the set goals, linking them to specific measurable miles stones.
Each of the programmes /activities is monitored on the following points:
- The tools and mechanism to execute the specific activity
- Responsibility for timely and appropriate execution of the activity
- End date by which the activity is intended to be completed
The core purposes and aspirations are underlined in the document which shows the Department’s overall vision and also previous worked as part of the RFD work. The core purposes might evolve and refine itself as the discussions with stakeholders proceed and organization’s understanding of core learning agenda evolves. It would still be aligned with over all vision but would be crisper articulation at the end of the process.

Mission
- To inculcate qualities of good citizens and volunteerism in youth.
- To develop personality and leadership qualities of the Youth
- To promote youth employ-ability and skill development
- To develop countrywide network of self supporting Youth Clubs
- To promote national integration and social harmony in youth
Objectives
- Reinforcing Volunteerism in Youth (National Youth Corps)
- Recognizing voluntary services rendered by Youth Clubs
- Promoting of youth employability and skill development
- Promoting National perspective in the youth through travel and exchange
- Promoting adverturism among youth
- Youth development through convergence with other Ministries, Departments and Agencies
Functions
- Involve the youth in nation building activities through grass root level all India net work of Youth Clubs
- Administer and control 623 district Nehru Yuva Kendras and 29 State Offices as well as monitor supervise the programme and works of various level functionaries
- Implement Programmes and schemes of MYAS
- Implement National Youth Corps (NYC) Scheme
- Organize Youth Festivals
- Recognize outstanding achievements of youth clubs and confer Awards
- Explore synergy with other departments for implementing their programmes
